Amit Geynis is a seasoned security research professional with extensive experience in automotive and cybersecurity domains. Currently serving as the Security Research Team Lead at PlaxidityX since July 2017, Amit leads a team focused on in-vehicle network security, specializing in protocols and architecture such as CAN Bus and Ethernet. Previously, Amit held significant roles, including Senior Security Researcher, where research spanned embedded automotive vulnerabilities and anomaly detection algorithms. Prior to PlaxidityX, Amit was a Security Researcher at IBM's Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, focusing on behavioral biometrics and machine-learning algorithms for fraud detection. Amit’s earlier experience includes firmware engineering at Broadcom Inc., research assistance in robotics at Ben Gurion University, and a leadership role in communication research at Unit 8200 of the Israeli Intelligence Corps. Amit holds a B.Sc. in Communication Systems Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
