Erik Zahnlecker

Erik Zahnlecker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product management, growth strategies, and investment. Currently writing about company building for a community of founders, builders, and investors at Steelhead since January 2024, Erik also serves as an angel investor through E Zahnlecker LLC since 2021. Previously, Erik held the position of Head of New Products & Growth at Kyte from January 2022 to February 2024, where successful initiatives generated significant revenues. As Director of AI Product at Sage from May 2019 to December 2021, Erik led a team of over 50 to create AI-powered products and services. Erik co-founded Allocate, serving as COO and Head of Product until its acquisition by Sage, where the focus was on leveraging AI for data-driven professional services. Early career experiences include a summer role as a Technology Investor at Spectrum Equity and as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Sagent Advisors. Erik holds a Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology from UCLA.
