Lead Data Scientist And Actuary at Arity

Ron Lettofsky has extensive work experience in the insurance and actuarial field. Ron currently serves as the Lead Data Scientist and Actuary at Arity since October 2017. Prior to this, they were the Senior Actuarial Manager, Claims Analytics at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) from May 2015 to June 2017. Ron also worked as the Director, Pricing and Claims Predictive Analytics at Fireman's Fund Insurance Company from June 2012 to May 2015.

Ron's career started at Standard & Poor's in 1994, where they worked as an Associate. During this time, they played a vital role in analyzing financial strength, recommending ratings, and publishing analyses on various insurers. Ron also automated processes to run financial models, tested and implemented criteria for S&P Insurance Ratings' financial models, and interacted with insurance industry stakeholders. Furthermore, Ron calculated industry and market segment analysis for publication, researched enhancements to various financial models, and trained analysts in using the financial models effectively.

Before joining Standard & Poor's, Ron worked at CNA Insurance as the Director of Predictive Modeling from July 2004 to June 2012. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing predictive modeling techniques. Ron also worked as an Actuarial Consultant, specializing in Specialty Lines Pricing from January 2003 to June 2004.

Ron Lettofsky has an education history that includes an MBA in Actuarial Science from St. John's University's Tobin College of Business, which they obtained from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1991, they attended Truman State University, where they studied Music Composition. Ron also attended Baldwin Wallace University from 1985 to 1990. In addition to their academic background, Ron has earned certifications including Certified Specialist in Predictive Analytics (CSPA) from The CAS Institute in 2017 and Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) from the Casualty Actuarial Society in 2010.
