Supervising Forensic Scientist - Quality Assurance at Arizona Department of Public Safety

Stewart Raley is a seasoned forensic scientist with extensive experience in quality assurance and training within forensic labs. Currently serving as the Supervising Forensic Scientist for Quality Assurance at the Arizona Department of Public Safety since August 2008, Stewart Raley oversees compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and other accrediting standards. Stewart's multifaceted roles include coordinating training for the Scientific Analysis Bureau and managing various forensic units. Additionally, as a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University, Stewart Raley directs graduate research projects, and owns Cherry Point Forensic Consulting, providing expertise in forensic quality assurance. Stewart Raley has also served as a Lead Assessor for ANSI National Accreditation Board, evaluating crime laboratories against industry standards. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Anthropology from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Biology from Louisiana Tech University.
