Judy Theman

Judy Theman has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 1987, they worked as a Beauty Advisor at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. From 1992 to 1993, they served as an Administrative Assistant at KUTP TV-45. Judy then transitioned to Sundance Broadcasting, where they worked as an Account Executive from 1993 to 1997. After that, Judy joined Clear Channel Communications as a Senior Account Executive from 1997 to 2004.

In 2010, they joined AZ T-Rex Easton Baseball as a Team Coordinator and Manager. During their tenure, they played a crucial role in expanding the organization from two local youth club baseball teams to eight nationally recognized teams. Their responsibilities included managing schedules, website design, accounting, and communication with parents, tournament directors, college coaches, and recruiters. Judy was with AZ T-Rex Easton Baseball until 2017.

Following that, Judy worked at Arizona PBS as a Program Coordinator from 2016 to 2018. In this role, they managed the event ticket program, including vendor relations, contract negotiations, budgeting, and fulfillment.

From 2018 to 2021, they held various roles at the ASU Foundation for A New American University. Initially, they served as a Development Officer, Major and Planned Gifts, responsible for achieving personal fundraising goals and securing philanthropic investments. Judy then became an Assistant Director of Development, specializing in Estate and Gift Planning. Their responsibilities included educating the department, creating donor presentations, and soliciting major and planned gifts. Finally, Judy worked as an Associate Director of Development, Major and Planned Gifts. Judy was an estate and gift planning expert, overseeing procedures related to major and planned gift acceptance, training development staff, and managing complex planned giving vehicles.

Judy Theman has a strong background in development and fundraising, particularly in major and planned gifts. Judy has experience in managing portfolios, developing strategies, and building relationships with prospects and stakeholders.

Judy Theman completed their Bachelor's of Science degree in Marketing from Arizona State University from 1986 to 1991. Judy pursued further education in the field of Interior Design at Scottsdale Community College, where they attended from 2004 to 2007. Judy also obtained two additional certifications in their professional career. In June 2020, they completed the Estate and Gift Planning Fundamentals Course at ASU Enterprise Partners. Later in October 2020, they completed the Certification Course for Major Gift Fundraisers offered by Veritus Group.
