Sara Sherman Mpa

Division Director, Youth & Family at Arizona Youth Partnership

Sara Sherman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Sara currently holds the position of Chief Impact Officer at Arizona Youth Partnership. Prior to this, they worked at Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest as the RYMP Program Manager & Communications Specialist and Mentor Support and Communications Specialist. Sara also served as an Advocacy Assistant at the International Rescue Committee and as a Youth Development Specialist with the Peace Corps. In addition, they have experience as a Media Team Photographer at Camp Lonehollow, a Team Coach at Texas Dreams Gymnastics, and a Technical Writing Assistant at Content Solutions. Throughout their roles, Sara has demonstrated strong communication skills, community engagement, and the ability to develop partnerships.

Sara Sherman, MPA, holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Arizona, which they pursued from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended the University of North Texas, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from 2012 to 2016. Before their tenure at the University of North Texas, Sara earned an Associate's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Texas Woman's University, where they studied during 2011 and 2012. In addition to their academic achievements, Sara also holds a Youth Mental Health First Aid certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, which they acquired in March 2023.
