Henry Middleton

Henry Middleton has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Henry began their career in 2008 as an Editorial Assistant at Near East Media - ICCB and later joined BNY Mellon in 2016 as part of the Returning Military Programme in the Compliance Monitoring Team. From 2010 to 2016, Henry served in the British Army, holding various positions including Troop Commander and Senior Team Leader. Henry developed expertise in the Middle East and North Africa security and political environment and provided specialist advice and policy recommendations to Senior Officers. In 2016, Henry worked as an International Consultant (Political Affairs Analyst) for the United Nations. Henry then transitioned to the role of Chief Of Staff at The Stabilisation Network from 2017 to 2018, where they also served as an Operations Project Officer. Currently, Henry is Chief Operations Officer at ARK since July 2021.

Henry Middleton began their education at Wellington College from 2000 to 2005, where they did not earn a degree or specify a field of study. Henry then attended The University of Edinburgh from 2005 to 2009, earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies. In 2009, they attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst for the Regular Commissioning Course. Following this, in 2016, they completed an Advanced Management Achievement Course at Alliance Manchester Business School, focusing on Business Administration and Management, General. From 2018 to 2021, they pursued a Master's degree in Terrorism and Political Violence at the University of St Andrews. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including a Certificate in Terrorism Studies from the University of St Andrews in 2018, a CMI Level 8 Certificate in Strategic Direction and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute in 2016, a CMI Level 6 Certificate in Management and Leadership (QCF) from the Chartered Management Institute in 2015, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) in 2015, a Project Management for Development (PMD Pro) certification from APMG International in 2017, and a PRINCE 2 Foundation/Practitioner certification from APMG International.
