Yeonsang Hwang

Yeonsang Hwang currently serves as the Associate Dean of Engineering and Computer Science and an Associate Professor at Arkansas State University since August 2009. Hwang is an affiliate faculty member of the Environmental Science Program and a graduate faculty member at Purdue University's Department of Construction Science & Organizational Leadership, focusing on drought research and teaching courses in hydrology, water and waste systems, fluid mechanics, mechanics of materials, and statics. Prior experience includes the role of Interim Associate Dean of Engineering and Computer Science and Visiting Professor at Valparaiso University from August 2007 to August 2009, as well as a Research Associate at the University of South Carolina from February 2006 to August 2007. Hwang gained research experience as a member of GS E&C from March 1993 to August 2001. Academic credentials include a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Yonsei University.
