Richard Lu has a diverse work experience in various industries. Richard started their career at Centocor as a Student Observer in 2011. Richard then joined the Boeing School-to-Work Program as a Student Observer in 2012. In 2013, they worked as an Instructional Assistant at Progressive Training Network Inc. and as a Research Assistant, Office Assistant, and Head Resident Assistant at Drexel University.

In 2014, Richard worked as a Quality Engineering Co-op at Animas Corporation, a Johnson & Johnson Company. Richard then moved on to FMC Corporation, where they held positions as a Procurement Category Analyst Co-op and a Technical Development Engineer.

Richard also gained experience at Sartomer as a Process Engineering Coop in 2017. Richard then rejoined FMC Corporation as a Procurement Category Analyst before joining Arkema in 2019. Richard Lu received a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University in 2013. Richard then pursued a Master's Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the same university, completing it in 2018. In 2021, they enrolled at Villanova University to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, which is currently ongoing. Prior to their college education, Richard attended Upper Darby High School from 2009 to 2013.
