Ross Fennessy

Director Of Research & Development at Arkeon

Ross Fennessy is an experienced professional with a strong background in research and development. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Research & Development at Arkeon since September 2022, they oversee the strategic direction and implementation of projects.

Prior to this, Ross worked at Carlsberg Group from January 2019 to June 2022, first as a Project Leader and then as a Research Scientist. During this time, they focused on the development and understanding of brewing yeast for the production of fermented beverages. Ross managed commercial research projects, developed research strategies, and achieved goals within agreed timelines.

Before joining Carlsberg Group, Ross served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Dundee from November 2014 to May 2016. In this role, they managed multiple research projects related to chromatin dynamics and presented data internally and externally.

Ross started their career as a Quality Analyst at Novartis from January 2009 to September 2009. Ross conducted stability analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and performed laboratory tests following SOPs.

Overall, Ross Fennessy has a diverse and extensive work experience in research and development, project management, and laboratory analysis.

Ross Fennessy completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Biochemistry from the University of Limerick, from 2006 to 2010. Ross then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Dundee, completing it from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in "Creating Great First Impressions" from LinkedIn in January 2022.
