Rico Chandra

Rico has a Ph.D. from ETH Zurich, awarded for his work in dark matter detection at CERN. Under Rico’s leadership, Arktis took several technologies emerging from fundamental science labs and developed products that are now deployed serving global security in countries around the world. Rico has experience in leading high-tech development programs for customers including DARPA, DHS, AWE, and the European Commission.

Rico is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Tugboat, Switzerland’s first crowd-funding platform. Rico’s work experience includes consulting for governments in security questions, strategic consulting for businesses, and technology consulting. Rico is a competitive cross-country paraglider pilot, ranked among the top ten in the world in 2021.
