Dr. Roland Schmidt holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bayreuth and an MBA in International Management from Royal Holloway, University of London. Currently serving as the Head of Solution Rubbers at ARLANXEO since July 2019, Dr. Schmidt leads global polymer development for Solution Rubbers and previously headed the Global Development Team for Performance Elastomers. Prior experience includes roles as Managing Director and New Business Development Manager at PCW GmbH, Technical Director at LUCOBIT AG, Staff Scientist at SABIC, and Senior Scientist at ConocoPhillips, with a focus on R&D and project management. Additionally, Dr. Schmidt has contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at Rogers State University.
