Jenifer van Vleck

Jenifer Van Vleck is a seasoned professional in public affairs and history, currently serving as a Public Affairs Specialist (Contractor) at Arlington National Cemetery since July 2019, where advisement and support are provided to enhance educational outreach for millions of annual visitors. Prior experience includes roles as Curator of Aeronautics at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum, focusing on aviation's social and cultural history, and Assistant Professor of History at Yale University, where teaching and curriculum development were emphasized across undergraduate and graduate courses. Additional editorial experience encompasses positions at New York Magazine, Scout Electromedia, Microsoft, and The Nation. Jenifer holds a PhD, MPhil, and MA in History from Yale University, as well as a BA in History from Brown University.
