Kathleen Whiteman

Kathleen Whiteman currently serves as a Grade 8 Science Teacher at Arlington Public Schools since December 2023, following a brief tenure as a Substitute Teacher at Wilmington Public Schools. With extensive experience in the biotech sector, Kathleen held various leadership roles at SOTIO Biotech Inc., including Director and Associate Director of In Vivo Pharmacology and Toxicology from August 2020 to September 2023. Prior positions include Senior Scientist and Scientist at Unum Therapeutics, and Scientist II at ImmunoGen, Inc. Kathleen began their career as a Research Technologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and as a Research Associate at Northeastern University. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and Biomedical Science from UMass Boston and a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
