Larry Sweet

Larry Sweet serves as the Director of Engineering at the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute since March 2023, overseeing technology initiatives within a diverse ecosystem of over 400 members. Prior experience includes a role as Director of Worldwide Robotics Deployment at Amazon Robotics, where major automation projects were implemented globally across fulfillment networks. Larry also held positions such as Professor of Robotics at Georgia Institute of Technology, Chief Technology Officer at Symbotic, and various leadership roles at PepsiCo - Frito Lay, Proton Energy Systems, Carrier Corporation, ABB, FANUC FA AMERICA Corporation, and GE Global Research. Larry Sweet earned a PhD and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
