Chris McCourt

Chris McCourt is a Corporate Finance Partner at Armstrong Watson. Chris has over 19 years of experience in the finance industry.

Chris started their career as a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in September 2000. Chris then moved to HSBC as a Senior Business Auditor in November 2006. In May 2007, they joined BTG Corporate Finance as an Assistant Director. In March 2012, they became the Chief Operating Officer of the North East Chamber of Commerce. In November 2014, they joined MHA Tait Walker as a Corporate Finance Associate Partner. Chris left MHA Tait Walker in August 2019 to join Armstrong Watson as a Corporate Finance Partner.

At Armstrong Watson, Chris provides corporate finance advice to businesses in a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, engineering, healthcare and technology.

Chris McCourt is a Chartered Accountant who has studied at the ICAEW, where they have achieved the ACA and FCA qualifications. Chris has also gained a Diploma in Corporate Finance from the ICAEW. Chris's undergraduate degree is in Economics from the University of York.

Chris McCourt reports to Richard Gibson, Partner & Head of Corporate Finance. They are on a team with Chris Archer - Corporate Finance Partner, Ian Durie - Corporate Finance Partner, and Stephen Dinsmore - Corporate Finance Manager, Fundraising & Finance.
