Julia McAdams

Director of Solution Innovation at Army Applications Laboratory

Julia brings Army and industry connections together with relevant tech to solve real, relevant problems. Her team manages a wide range of tech development methods, including AAL’s Special Program Awards for Required Technology Needs (SPARTN) model and the AAL Cohort Program.

Her longstanding and diverse Army background — from her first days sewing tents in Iraq and Afghanistan to her experience running chemical warfare protection programs to her 16 years at the DEVCOM Soldier Center — enables AAL to create new relationships, connect perspectives, develop systems, and refine problems to overcome the Army challenges of the future.

Army Applications Laboratory

We’re not a laboratory in the traditional sense of the word. Our mission is to accelerate the discovery, evaluation, and transition of dual-use technology and business practices to help the Army Futures Command (AFC) fundamentally reshape how the U.S. Army delivers capabilities in support of Multi-Domain Operations. The Army Applications Laboratory (AAL) is the leading edge of Army transformation from the industrial age to the information age, because we question *why* and deliver *what if.*
