Health Care Director, Payor Reform at Arnold Ventures

Lee-Lee Ellis has worked in various roles and organizations throughout their career. Lee-Lee began as a Graduate Student Intern at FDA in 2011. Lee-Lee then transitioned to the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) where they initially served as a Research Fellow from July 2013 to May 2014, and then as a Program Associate from May 2014 to February 2015.

In 2015, Lee-Lee joined Mathematica Policy Research as a Health Policy Researcher and contributed to evaluations of federal payment and delivery system reforms, focusing on health care spending reduction and improved health outcomes. Lee-Lee also provided technical assistance to federal grantees implementing care delivery changes. Lee-Lee continued their work at Mathematica Policy Research until September 2021.

Currently, Lee-Lee is a part of Arnold Ventures as the Health Care Director for Payor Reform, a position they started in September 2021.

Lee-Lee Ellis's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Health Policy & Bioethics from The Johns Hopkins University, which was completed between 2010 and 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Bioethics/Medical Ethics from New York University, from 2008 to 2010. Lee-Lee also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Philosophy from Colgate University, which they obtained between 2004 and 2008.
