Dawn DeFrancesco, PhD, PCC

Dawn DeFrancesco, PhD, PCC has a diverse and extensive work experience in coaching, consulting, and instructional design. Dawn currently works as an Executive Leadership Coach at Arootah and the Center for Creative Leadership. In 2022, they founded their own coaching and consulting company called It's a New Dawn Coaching & Consulting, where they support individuals, groups, and teams to achieve peak performance. Prior to that, they worked as a Learning and Development Coach at Marlow. Dawn also has experience in academia, serving as an Adjunct Faculty and later as the Director of Coaching Education at Pacific College of Health and Science. Additionally, they worked as a Digital Health Coach at Omada Health. Dawn's work experience also includes roles at SAP, where they served as Director of Learning Strategy and Design, as well as Sr. Learning Content Developer. Dawn has also worked at Navy Federal Credit Union and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association as a Manager of Lending Training and Operational Risk, and Sr. Instructional Designer, respectively. At Axiom Resource Management, they held the position of Sr. Instructional Designer. Overall, Dawn's work experience showcases their expertise and knowledge in coaching, leadership development, and instructional design.

Dr. Dawn DeFrancesco obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Telecommunications from Penn State University in 1998. Dawn pursued further education and received a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Computing in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2001. Dr. DeFrancesco later completed their doctorate and earned a PhD degree in Training and Performance Improvement from Capella University in 2011.

In terms of certifications, they obtained multiple credentials over the years. In 2018, they became an Erickson Professional Coach through Erickson Coaching International. Continuing their coaching certifications, they became an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation in 2020 and obtained the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the same institution in 2022.

Additionally, Dr. DeFrancesco holds various other certifications related to coaching and assessments. Dawn completed the Certified Team Coach program at Solutions Academy in 2021 and obtained the CCL Benchmarks for Executives, Managers, and By Design from the Center for Creative Leadership in 2023. Dawn also completed numerous assessments certifications, including PerSight Development Assessments, FIRO-B and FIRO Business Certification, Hogan Personality Inventory, Hogan Development Survey, Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory, and Workplace Big 5 Assessment.

Furthermore, they hold certifications in nutrition and wellness. Dr. DeFrancesco became a Nutrition Consultant, Sports Nutritionist, Holistic Nutritionist, and Nutrition & Wellness Consultant through AFPA American Fitness Professionals & Associates at different times between 2020 and 2021.

It should also be noted that they have the Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach certification from Omada Health in 2022, and they completed the Improving Human Performance course from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) at some point.

Finally, they are a member of the International Coaching Federation and possesses the ICF Member Badge.
