Manik Sachdeva

Manik Sachdeva is currently the Head of Engineering at Around. Prior to this, they were a Software Engineering Manager at Nexmo (now Vonage), responsible for software design, development, and testing of Real-Time Communications (Voice, Video, Messaging) SDKs based on WebRTC for JavaScript, iOS, Android, Windows, Linux, Unity, MacOS.

At Nexmo, Sachdeva collaborate with global Product & Engineering teams to ensure roadmap delivery and execution of key products such as Advanced Media Routing, launch of new SDKs and APIs. Manik also managed two distributed teams of 17 SDK engineers across Argentina, San Francisco, and Spain. Additionally, Sachdeva build the video engine for Vonage Meetings, a cloud native video solution.

Prior to their work at Nexmo, Sachdeva was a Developer Evangelist at TokBox and a software engineer at LLIP.IO and Inspectlet.

Sachdeva has also been active in mentoring engineers and helping them progress in their careers. Manik has also worked with browser vendors such as Google, Microsoft, Mozilla, and Apple to help further the WebRTC standard. Additionally, Sachdeva leads the API Review committee which is responsible for all new REST APIs & SDK APIs.

Manik Sachdeva attended the University of California, Santa Cruz for their undergraduate degree. Manik then went on to get a certification from ExecOnline, Inc. in Columbia Business School.
