Alastair Cochran

Alastair Cochran is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Arqiva, a key provider of communication services in the UK and internationally since September 2025. Prior to this role, Alastair was the Chief Financial Officer at Thames Water, overseeing the UK's largest water and wastewater services provider from September 2021 to March 2025. Alastair's extensive experience in the oil and gas sector includes serving as Co-CEO and CFO of Petrofac from October 2016 to August 2021, where Alastair played a pivotal role in the company's operations listed on the London Stock Exchange. Alastair's career also includes significant positions at BG Group, where responsibilities encompassed global strategy, business development, mergers, and acquisitions, and was completed with a tenure as Managing Director in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley. Alastair holds an FCA qualification from ICAEW and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Hons. in Economic and Social History from the University of Exeter.
