Alec Sexton

Sr. Scientist at Arrakis Therapeutics

Alec Sexton has a diverse work experience. Alec began their career in 2007 as a Research Associate at Brown University, where they developed skills in mammalian cell culture, immunofluorescence, fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH), and image processing. In 2014, they moved to Yale University as a Postdoctoral Associate, where they investigated the structure of functional noncoding RNAs with chemical probing paired with deep sequencing. In 2020, they joined Arrakis Therapeutics, where they have held the roles of Scientist, Scientist II, and Sr. Scientist.

Alec Sexton obtained a Bachelor degree from Indiana University Bloomington in 2007, majoring in Biology. Alec then continued their education at the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 2014.
