Elena Menichelli has worked in the field of Structural Biology for over 20 years. Elena began their career in 2001 as a PhD student and Postdoctoral research fellow at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB). From 2006 to 2013, they worked as a Research Associate and Senior Research Associate at The Scripps Research Institute. In 2013, they joined DiscoverX Corporation as a Senior Scientist I/II. In 2016, they moved to GNF as an Investigator II and then an Investigator III - Structure Based Drug Discovery. Finally, in 2021 they joined Arrakis Therapeutics as the Director and Head of Structural Biology, and then Associate Director and Head of Structural Biology.
Elena Menichelli obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge between 2001 and 2005. Elena also obtained their Laurea in Organic Chemistry from Sapienza Università di Roma between 1993 and 2000.
