Senior Scientist at Arranta Bio

Chris Brown has a diverse work experience in the field of bioengineering and pharmaceuticals. Their most recent role was as a Senior Scientist at Arranta Bio starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Vedere Bio II where they held various positions, including Scientist in Upstream Process Development and Principal Research Associate/Engineer in Upstream Process Development. Chris was responsible for scaling up AAV production processes, training and managing co-op employees, and leading wind down efforts for the CMC lab. Before Vedere Bio II, Chris worked at Voyager Therapeutics as an Associate Scientist in Upstream Process Development, where they focused on improving AAV vector production and characterization. Chris also gained experience at Akebia Therapeutics as a Commercial Manufacturing Intern, where they supported manufacturing teams and conducted data analysis for process improvement. In addition, they had research positions at PureTech Health and Reactive Innovations, where they contributed to drug delivery system development and electrochemical materials research, respectively. Chris started their career as a Research Assistant at Universitat Rovira i Virgili, where they worked on a project related to wearable sensors.

Chris Brown attended Northeastern University from 2014 to 2019. During this time, they earned both a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemical Engineering. Their field of study throughout their education was Chemical Engineering.
