Almaz Nyshanbay

Almaz Nyshanbay is an experienced exploration geologist currently working at Arras Minerals Corp. since October 2021, previously holding the role of junior geologist. Prior to this, Almaz worked as an engineering geologist at ТОО Central Asia Mining Co, focusing on gold deposits in South Kazakhstan, and as a geologist at LLP Nomad Exploration, involved in geotechnical logging for various mining projects. Almaz's earlier experience includes geological exploration for gold, coal, and manganese at LLP Altyn Minerals, and a technician geologist position at Rio Tinto, where Almaz was engaged in copper-gold porphyry exploration. An internship as an engineering geologist at KATCO JV LLP provided foundational skills in core logging and geophysical data interpretation. Almaz holds a Master's degree in Mining Industry from Восточно-Казахстанский государственный технический университет и. Д. Серикбаева and a Bachelor's degree in Geology/Earth Science from the same institution, along with education from the Геологоразведочный колледж г. Семей.
