Amir Akbarzadeh is a Software Engineer at ArrayFire since March 2023, focusing on performance analysis and optimization of codebases using CUDA. Prior to this role, Amir served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Texas A&M University from January 2022 to March 2023, where development of a GPU-capable Overset framework for high-order flux reconstruction schemes was undertaken. Amir also worked as a Graduate Teaching Fellow at Texas A&M University from January 2021 to September 2021, instructing a design studio course, and as a Graduate Research Assistant from January 2018 to January 2020, where in-house CFD software for computational aerodynamics was developed. Amir's academic background includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University (2018-2021), an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (2011-2014), and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (2007-2011). Previous research experience includes a position as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo from February 2016 to January 2018.
