Data Scientist II at ArrePath

Erin Chinn has worked in the data science field since 2010. Erin began their career at LGA Thin Films as a Lead Process Engineer, where they managed R&D projects across a variety of fields, including IC's, photovoltaic films, and thermoelectric generators. In 2016, Erin joined Isazi Consulting as a Data Science Intern, developing machine learning models in R and Python to predict health status of cancer patients based on genomic and clinical data. Erin then moved to the University of California, San Francisco in 2018, where they used deep learning to develop medical insights from cardiovascular imaging data. Currently, Erin is a Data Scientist II at ArrePath, where they apply computer vision techniques to help transform anti-infective drug discovery, develops and implements strategies for extracting phenotypic information from microscopy images, and collaborates with research partners and multi-disciplinary teams.

Erin Chinn received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Davis in 2000, after attending from 1995. In 2007, they returned to the University of California, Davis to pursue a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed in 2009. In 2016, they obtained their Master of Science (M.S.) in Data Science from the University of San Francisco.
