Varuni Jayasinghe

Varuni Jayasinghe began their work experience in 2000 as a Programmer at Sevenseas Computers. Varuni then worked as a Lotus Notes Developer at Q Soft Ltd from 2001 to 2002. From 2002 to 2005, they worked at The Capital Maharaja Group as a Lotus Notes Developer, where they consulted users, gathered requirements, and designed and developed workflow management systems. In 2010, Varuni joined My Job Group Ltd as a Web Developer, where they developed web applications in a LAMP environment and assisted in testing. Varuni then moved on to Motion Software Ltd in 2011, starting as a Software Developer and later transitioning to the role of Software Tester. From 2017 to 2020, they held the position of Senior Software Tester at Motion Software. Currently, Varuni is working at Arria NLG as a Test Engineer, and they were recently promoted to the role of Senior Test Engineer in April 2022.

Varuni Jayasinghe completed their BSc in Computing and Information Systems from London Metropolitan University. Following that, they pursued an MSc in Software Systems & Internet Technology from The University of Sheffield from 2007 to 2008.

In terms of additional certifications, Varuni obtained the ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing in February 2007. Later, they attained the CTAL-TA (Certified Tester Advanced Level - Test Analyst) certification from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in April 2014. Additionally, they achieved the CTAL-TTA (Certified Tester Advanced Level - Technical Test Analyst) certification from the same institution in May 2015.

Furthermore, Varuni obtained the Artificial Intelligence Foundations: Machine Learning certification from LinkedIn in August 2020. Varuni also holds two certifications from IBM, including the Certified Lotus Professional - Domino R5 Application Developer and the Certified Lotus Specialist - Domino R5 Designer Fundamentals, although the specific dates of acquisition are not available.
