Avinash Rugoobur

President & Chief Strategy Officer at Arrival

Avinash Rugoobur is the current President & Chief Strategy Officer at Arrival. Prior to this, they were the Head of Strategy + Mergers & Acquisitions at Cruise Automation from September 2017 to January 2019. Avinash was also a GM Cruise Executive leading the Strategy and M&A organization with a mandate to uncover new business opportunities, develop strategic roadmaps, investigate investment mechanisms and identify, evaluate and execute potential mergers and acquisitions. Avinash has also been a part of the team that led to Softbank VC fund investment of $2.25bn providing solid financial runway and increasing valuation of GM Cruise from $1Bn to $12 bn. In addition, they have also led advanced product development strategy that lead to Honda investment of $2.75bn and further increasing GM Cruise valuation to $14bn. Avinash has also been responsible for 2 multi million dollar acquisitions focused on expediting the launch of autonomous vehicles. Prior to Cruise Automation, they were the Director and Co-Founder of Curve Tomorrow from October 2009 to July 2018. Avinash was also the Innovation Manager at DiUS Computing from August 2009 to June 2010.

Avinash Rugoobur has a post graduate certificate in knowledge management from the University of Melbourne. Avinash also has a bachelor's degree with honors in mechanical engineering and computer science from the same school.
