John Grupp is the Deputy General Counsel & VP, Americas at Arrival. John has been with the company since March 2020. Prior to that, they were with Husqvarna Group from April 2017 to March 2020, where they served as Associate General Counsel, Americas. In that role, they were responsible for providing legal analysis and support on commercial issues to marketing, sales, product management, engineering/new product development and sourcing teams, including contract negotiation and management. John also managed and handled all claims and litigation matters for the Husqvarna entities in North America, including the direct handling of claims/pre-litigation matters, the retention and management of outside counsel in lawsuits, and providing critical reporting and guidance to senior business leaders regarding risks and likely outcomes for litigation and pre-litigation matters. Additionally, they provided legal support and analysis for product safety and product compliance teams, including evaluation and advice concerning safety, quality, regulatory and compliance issues and interactions with regulatory bodies. John also provided legal support and analysis for the People & Organization/HR team with labor and employment issues, disputes and investigations.

John Grupp attended the University of Virginia School of Law, where they earned their J.D. John also holds a B.S.E. from Duke University in Electrical Engineering.
