Matthew Ogunsanya

Matthew Ogunsanya currently serves as the Arsenal Women Lead Doctor and Academy Doctor at Arsenal F.C. since July 2022, and as the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) since September 2022. Additionally, Matthew holds the position of England Development Teams Doctor with The Football Association since March 2021. Previous experience includes roles as First Team Lead Doctor and Academy Doctor at Watford Football Club from April 2017 to September 2020, and medical responsibilities in Accident and Emergency as well as Sports Medicine at Homerton University Hospital Foundation Trust. Matthew has also worked as a GP Specialist Trainee at Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and served as Medical Team Leader during London 2017. Matthew's educational background includes a Master of Science in Sports and Exercise Medicine and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from UCL.
