Irene Scarfò has worked as a Senior Scientist at ArsenalBio since October 2021. Prior to that, they were a Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) from July 2016 to August 2021. Before joining MGH, Irene was a PhD student at the Center for Experimental Research and Medical Studies (CeRMS) from January 2012 to January 2016. Irene also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Università degli Studi di Torino in an unspecified time period in 2015 and 2016.

Following their high school education, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at Università degli Studi di Torino from 2006 to 2009. Irene then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Medical Biotechnology from the same university from 2009 to 2011. Irene Scarfò furthered their education by pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and Oncology at the University of Turin, which they completed from 2012 to 2015.
