Carly Murphy

Carly Murphy currently serves as the Global Head of Collector and Institutional Relations at Art Basel, a position held since October 2025, where responsibilities include enhancing relationships with private collectors, museums, and cultural institutions globally. Prior to this role, Carly was the Senior Vice President and Head of Client Strategy for the Americas at Christie's from August 2022 to October 2025 and held various positions in prestigious organizations, including Business Development at Ingles & Hayday Fine Instruments and Vice President at Sotheby's. Early career experiences include roles as a contemporary client developer at Phillips and an Assistant Vice President for contemporary client development at Sotheby's, along with teaching and internship experiences in art museums. Carly holds a Master of Arts in French Language and Literature from the University of Notre Dame and a Certificate in American Art from Sotheby's Institute of Art, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Art History and French Literature from the University of Notre Dame.
