Melissa Netecke is the Global Head of Partnerships at Art Basel. Melissa has over ten years of experience in the art world, with a focus on marketing and event management.

Netecke began their career as the Manager of Special Events at the Chelsea Art Museum in 2010. There, they planned and executed a variety of high-profile events, including openings, benefits, and galas. In 2011, they transitioned to Affordable Art Fair, where they served as Marketing Manager for three years. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of marketing, from advertising and PR to social media and website management.

In 2014, Netecke joined Station Independent Projects as Assistant Director. In this role, they oversaw gallery operations, handled PR and communication with the press, and planned marketing and social media activity. Melissa left the company in 2018 to join Art Basel as Global Head of Partnerships.

Melissa Netecke has a certificate in Arts Marketing and Communications from New York University, an MS in Nonprofit Management from The New School, and a BA in Rhetoric and Writing from The University of Texas at Austin.
