Michelle Katz

Michelle Katz is an experienced Executive Business and Legal Advisor with a focus on intellectual property, marketing, and transactional matters, providing strategic counsel to various technology, art, and design companies since 1999. Katz has held academic positions as Associate Professor at Art Center College of Design since 2001, teaching law and business for artists and designers, and as a Senior Adjunct Professor at California College of the Arts in Business Law and Negotiations. Katz co-founded Botanic Technologies, Inc., serving as Chief Legal and Business Officer from 2012 to 2018, and has held prominent roles in business and legal affairs at Universal Studios and Paramount Pictures. Katz's legal career began at Writers Guild of America West, with earlier positions in litigation and arbitration. Katz holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Berkeley.
