Christopher J. Hegarty

Christopher J. Hegarty is a senior principal engineer with The MITRE Corporation's Center for Advanced Aviation System Development. He received his B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a D.Sc. in electrical engineering from the George Washington University. Dr. Hegarty is a member of the Program Management Committee of RTCA, Inc., and also serves as cochair of RTCA Special Committee 159. Since 1997, he has been the editor of NAVIGATION: Journal of The Institute of Navigation. Dr. Hegarty is co-editor of Understanding GPS: Principles and Applications, Second Edition.
