Phyllis Fletcher

Phyllis Fletcher is an experienced senior story editor and mentor in the audio production industry, currently serving as a Senior Story Editor for Limited Series at Wondery since November 2022. Additionally, Phyllis holds the position of Principal and Senior Story Editor for Commissioned Originals at P1 Editorial since March 2019, where mentoring and training new editors and journalists are primary responsibilities. Previously, positions included Senior Editor at The New York Times, Senior Editor at APM Studios, Bureau Chief at NPR, and Managing Editor at Northwest News Network, among others. Phyllis’s extensive experience encompasses documentary and narrative podcast development, editorial training, and a strong commitment to journalistic integrity. Educational credentials include a Fellowship from the CPB Editorial Integrity and Leadership Initiative at Arizona State University, a Master of Communication from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Columbia College, Columbia University.
