Emma Thomsen is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Artemis Institute for Clinical Research since November 2021, having previously served as a Research Assistant. Prior experience includes a role as a Logistical Research Assistant at UC San Diego Health, where Emma conducted subject recruitment, screening, and scheduling for a longitudinal clinical trial under Dr. Brown, as well as managing database setup and maintenance. Additionally, Emma worked as an Abstractor for the CDC's Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Network under Dr. Pierce, where data was abstracted into REDCap, and served as a Medical Scribe at the UC San Diego Vaccination Supercenter, documenting patient information. Emma's earlier experience includes tutoring high school students through UC San Diego's Upward Bound program, focusing on academic skills and college applications. Emma holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Cognitive & Behavioral Neuroscience from UC San Diego.
