Grant Klarich Johnson

Grant Klarich Johnson is an accomplished art historian and curator with extensive experience in various prestigious institutions. Currently a contributor at Artforum International Magazine since July 2013, Johnson has previously served as the Director of Communications at Regen Projects from May 2023 to September 2024, and held the position of Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Curatorial Fellow at the Philadelphia Museum of Art from October 2021 to April 2023. Additional roles include Joan Tisch Teaching Fellow at the Whitney Museum of American Art and Dornsife Doctoral Fellow at the University of Southern California, where Johnson earned a Ph.D. in Art History. Johnson's curatorial work includes serving as the Jane and Morgan Whitney Fellow at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and graduate fellow at USC Fisher Museum of Art. Early contributions also include writing for BlouinArtinfo Corp and curating the exhibition '20/20: Accelerando.' Educational background includes degrees from Kenyon College and the Graduate Center, City University of New York.
