Sadia Shirazi

Sadia Shirazi, PhD, currently serves as the Curator of International Art at Tate Modern since January 2023 and has been an Archivist at Performance Space New York since March 2021. Shirazi contributes to Artforum International Magazine from June 2017 to present and held the position of ACLS Emerging Voices Postdoctoral Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University from August 2021 to April 2023. Additionally, Shirazi has experience as an Instructor at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and as a Part-Time Professor at Parsons The New School of Design, both from January 2020 to April 2023. Former roles include curatorial instruction at the Whitney Museum of American Art's Independent Study Program and being a Helena Rubinstein Curatorial Fellow there. Educational achievements include a PhD candidacy in Art History and Visual Studies from Cornell University, an M.Arch. in Architecture/Urbanism from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.A. in History from the University of Chicago.
