Lauren Clanton has diverse work experience in various organizations. Lauren started their career as a Childcare Provider at First United Methodist Church Nursery in 2005 and later worked as a Student Office Assistant at The University of Alabama School of Law. In 2009, they became an Office Assistant at Risk Mitigation Services, Inc. before transitioning to the role of Event Coordinator at Birmingham Business Journal in 2009. At the American Marketing Association, they served as the VP of Programming in 2011. Lauren then joined the National MS Society as a Development Coordinator from 2011 to 2013, where they managed fundraising events and teams. Lauren gained experience as a Community Outreach Coordinator at the Tennessee Chapter of Children's Advocacy Centers from 2013 to 2014, focusing on marketing and communication strategies. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Development Manager at the American Cancer Society. Lauren later took on roles at the Muscular Dystrophy Association as a Director of Business Development from 2016 to 2016 and as an Executive Director from 2016 to 2017. Currently, they are serving as the Executive Director at the Arthritis Foundation since 2018, where they focus on team management and strategic planning for the organization's growth.
