Penny J. Parker has extensive experience in the non-profit sector, particularly in health and wellness. From 2003 to present, they worked at the Arthritis Foundation, Mid Atlantic Region, Carolinas. In this role, they served as the State Director of Health and Wellness, Carolinas, where they initiated and implemented educational programs and seminars on arthritis issues and public health. Penny J. also organized large special events for the North Carolina areas, securing sponsors and working with leadership committees to fund the events. Additionally, from 2003 to 2010, Parker held the position of Vice-President of Development at the Arthritis Foundation. Penny J. Parker completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Penny J. then pursued higher education and obtained a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel from the University of South Carolina in 1979.
