Shawn Alavi

Shawn Alavi, MBA, P.Eng., CRM, RIBO, currently serves as the Senior Vice President and National Practice Leader - Environmental at Gallagher, a position held since May 2023. Prior experience includes significant roles at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) as an Executive Underwriter and Underwriting Specialist for Environmental Liability, environmental management at Bentall Kennedy, and senior underwriting positions at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. Shawn's responsibilities involve strategic engagements with business development leaders, conducting educational presentations on Environmental insurance, portfolio management, and mentoring junior underwriters. Academic qualifications include a Global Executive MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, a Canadian Risk Management designation from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University.
