Maria Filipa Pinto

Maria Filipa Pinto is a Senior Scientist I at Artios since September 2021, with a background in biomedical sciences and extensive research experience. Previous roles include Research Fellow and PhD Candidate at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, focusing on Alzheimer’s Disease peptide synthesis and toxicity, as well as similar positions at i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde, and the ICBAS- Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences, where work centered on enzyme kinetics. Pinto gained international experience as a Visiting Researcher at King's College London, studying Friedreich's ataxia. Education includes a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from ICBAS and an Integrated Master's in Bioengineering from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto.
