Nicholas Veomett

Nicholas Veomett has a diverse range of work experience in corporate development, business consulting, and scientific research. Nicholas is currently an Executive Director of Corporate Development at Artiva Biotherapeutics, where they have been since 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Director of Corporate Development at Artiva Biotherapeutics starting in March 2021 until February 2023. Nicholas was previously the Director of Corporate Development at Vividion Therapeutics from November 2018 to February 2021. Before that, they worked as a Business Development Consultant at Fate Therapeutics Inc from May 2018 to November 2018.

Starting in 2014, Nicholas worked at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager, providing advisory services to top Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical companies. Nicholas was responsible for financial modeling, sales force integration, and delivering executive-level presentations. Nicholas held this role until March 2018.

Prior to McKinsey, Nicholas gained experience in the entrepreneurial and venture capital space. Nicholas was a Fellow and Associate Vice President at InSITE from September 2012 to May 2014. Nicholas also worked as a Scientific Technical Adviser at BR Venture Fund from July 2012 to May 2014, conducting technical analysis and due diligence for biomedical and bioscience companies. Additionally, they were a Student Adviser at NYC Tech Connect from May 2012 to May 2014.

Nicholas has a background in scientific research, having worked as a PhD candidate at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from September 2010 to April 2014. Nicholas also served as a Financial Partner at Club Biomed @ Weill Cornell Graduate School from April 2012 to February 2013. In addition, they founded and served as the President of the Weill Cornell Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club from November 2010 to May 2014.

Nicholas Veomett completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the University of Arizona in 2009. Nicholas then pursued their doctoral studies at Cornell University, Weill College of Medical Sciences, and obtained a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from 2009 to 2014. During the same period, they also earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmacology from the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University. In 2012, Nicholas briefly attended the NYU Stern School of Business to enhance their knowledge in business essentials, specifically targeted for non-business students.
