Flavia Bastos

Flavia Bastos is a Distinguished Research Professor in the Arts and Humanities at the University of Cincinnati, where tenure began in March 2001 and includes various leadership roles such as Provost Fellow, Interim Associate Dean of the Graduate College, and Executive Director of the Emeriti Association. In addition to academic positions, Flavia serves as a Trustee for Cincinnati Opera and as a Board Member for Breakthrough Cincinnati Inc., Local Learning, and Arts Midwest. Flavia's past experiences include serving as a Trustee for Cincinnati Ballet and holding the position of Higher Education Division Director for the National Art Education Association. Prior to the University of Cincinnati, Flavia was an Assistant Professor at Ball State University from August 1999 to July 2000 and pursued higher education at Indiana University Bloomington from 1992 to 2008.
