Dayne Jespersen

Dayne Jespersen has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Dayne most recently worked at Artscape as a Community Services Coordinator starting in February 2022. Prior to that, Dayne worked at the YMCA of Greater Toronto, where they held multiple roles including Job Skills Counselor and Outreach Specialist from 2020 to 2022.

Between 2018 and 2020, Dayne worked at the Canadian Canoe Museum as the Retail and Visitor Services Manager, overseeing the operations of the museum's Gift Store and Front Desk. In 2017, they worked at The RMG as a Community Development Assistant, responsible for volunteer coordination and assisting in the management of the Gallery Shop.

Dayne also has experience working in the museum industry. In 2017, they worked as a Museum Program Instructor at the Markham Museum, facilitating educational programming and providing administrative support. Prior to that, they worked as a Museum Programming and Collections Coordinator at Theatre Museum Canada in 2016, where they restructured and cataloged the educational collection and assisted with exhibition planning and programming.

Dayne's earlier work experience includes roles as a Program Facilitator at the Canadian National Exhibition, a Jewelry Consultant at Peoples Jewelers, and a Sales Associate and Visual Merchandiser at Pier 1 Imports. Dayne also worked at Indigo as a Customer Experience Representative from 2010 to 2012.

Dayne Jespersen has a strong educational background in arts and history. In 2011, they graduated from Trent University with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, specializing in History with a focus on Early Modern Studies. Following this, from 2015 to 2016, they attended Georgian College, where they earned a Post-Graduate Certificate in Museology/Museum Studies.

In addition to their formal education, Dayne Jespersen also obtained certification in Arts and Heritage Management from Coursera in September 2021.
