Alanna Joachim

Alanna Joachim is a Graduate Structural Engineer at Arup since April 2024, having previously served as an Advisor at CollegeAdvisor.com, providing hands-on assistance to students throughout the college admissions process. Alanna's structural engineering experience includes internships at Arup, Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, Gelinas Structural Engineering, and Merrimack Engineering Services, where responsibilities ranged from modeling and calculations to document management and compliance. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Alanna has also held various teaching assistant positions and completed a Senior Honors Thesis on architected metamaterials.
