Charles Hawker

Scientific Director, Automation & Special Projects at ARUP Laboratories

Charles Hawker had an extensive career in the field of pathology and laboratory work. Charles was the Scientific Director for Automation & Special Projects at ARUP Laboratories for many years before retiring in 2014. Prior to that, they held the same role at the University of Utah and volunteered at AACC. Charles also served as an Adjunct Professor of Pathology at the University of Utah.

Charles Hawker completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry at Illinois Wesleyan University in 1962. Charles then pursued a Master's Degree in Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1962 to 1965. In 1965, they continued their education at the University of Pennsylvania, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry in 1967. Finally, in 1985, they earned their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Washington University in St. Louis.
