Emma Cooney has over 15 years of experience in the marketing field. Emma began their career in 2004 as an Account Director at Linchpin Marketing, where they were a specialist in affinity marketing, working with FMCG and blue chip products. In 2010, they moved to QED Creative as a New Business Development, working with FMCGs on NPD and repositioning to regain market share. In 2012, they held two positions, Marketing Manager at Makro Self Service Wholesalers Ltd. and Sector Marketing Manager at RR Donnelley. At Makro, they were responsible for designing, developing, and implementing marketing campaigns to drive sales, footfall, and frequency. At RR Donnelley, they were responsible for researching and analyzing current marketing trends in key vertical markets and identifying new product development opportunities. In 2015, they moved to Destinology Ltd. as the Head of Marketing, where they reported to the MD and sat on the board. Emma was responsible for multichannel campaign planning, managing the company's paid search strategy, developing an SEO strategy, website rebranding, overhauling the social media strategy, developing and expanding the database, and introducing KPIs and analysis. In 2016, they moved to Zen Internet Limited as the Interim Head of Marketing, where they were responsible for rebuilding the team and formalizing the strategy. In 2017, they held two positions, Chief Marketing Officer at Parcelpet and Marketing Director (contract) at COLDHARBOUR DIGITAL. Finally, in 2018, they moved to The Content Guild Ltd. as the Director and, in 2019, they were appointed as the Head of Marketing at Arvia Technology.

Emma Cooney attended The University of Sheffield from 1986 to 1989, where they earned a B.Eng (hons) in Electronic Engineering. Emma then attended The Open University from 1992 to 1994, where they completed Marketing and Management modules in the field of Marketing & Management.
